Privacy and Service Providers

At Mike Watch Trader, we protect your personal information with the same care we give every watch. This page complements our Privacy Policy and explains, in plain language, who is responsible for your information, which providers we share it with and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What information we collect and why

• To process your order: name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses.
• To answer your messages: the information you send us through the contact form, the watch appraisal form, email or WhatsApp.
• To ask for a review: your name, your email and the products you bought.
• To run and improve the site: technical browsing data and cookies, according to the preferences you choose in the cookie notice.

We do not sell your personal information. We only collect what is needed to sell, ship and service your watch.

Providers we share information with

To run the store, we work with trusted providers. Each one receives only the information it needs for its role:

• Shopify (Canada): store platform, website hosting, checkout and order management.
• Shopify Payments, PayPal and Shop Pay: secure payment processing. We never see or store your full card numbers.
• Judge.me: sending review requests and publishing the reviews you choose to leave.
• Carriers (for example, Canada Post): delivery and tracking of your order.
• Email provider: communicating with you about your order or inquiry.
• WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook (Meta): only if you choose to contact us through them.

Information outside Quebec

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Quebec, for example in other Canadian provinces, in the United States or in Europe. Before working with them, we make sure they provide adequate protection of personal information.

Your rights

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Withdraw your consent or ask us to stop using it for certain purposes, such as marketing emails or review requests.
• Ask us to delete it once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, accounting records).
• Receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@mwtpro.ca. We will reply within 30 days at most.

Retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We use platforms with encrypted connections and limit access to information to those who truly need it.

Confidentiality incidents and complaints

If a confidentiality incident involving a risk of serious injury were to occur, we would notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, as required by law. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
